Questo legno di faggio, multistrato trattato specificatamente per esterni, è ricoperto da un’elegante foglia di rovere massiccio e grazie alla sua particolarità materica, permette di forgiare qualsiasi oggetto. La scocca della sedia ha una forma armonica, curvata ed alleggerita nello schienale da fresature verticali. Sia per la sedia e sia per la chaise-longue, si utilizza un pezzo unico di materiale e questo fa si che le venature scorrano in modo continuativo, conferendo un’estetica di grande pregio. Anche il telaio segue il disegno morbido della scocca e si fissa ad essa con un sistema di montaggio a scomparsa. The collection Fly is characterised by its clean, light design and its excellent use of beech-plywood. The multi-layered plywood, treated specifically for outdoors, is covered with a stylish layer of solid oak and due to its material peculiarities it can be fashioned into any object. The supporting structure of the chair is shaped harmoniously, curved and with a light backrest of vertical milling. Both the chair and chaise-longue are made from a single piece of material and this means that the grains are unbroken, giving an appearance of great value. The frame follows the same smooth design of the supporting structure and is fixed to it with a foldaway system. Die Kollektion Fly wird durch das saubere und leichte Design und durch die meisterhafte Verwendung des Plywood aus Buche charakterisiert. Plywood ist ein speziell für den Außenbereich behandeltes Mehrschichtholz, das von einem eleganten und hauchdünnen Eichenfurnier umschlossen ist. Dank seiner Materialeigenschaften kann daraus jedes Objekt geformt werden. Die harmonisch geformte Sitzschale des Stuhls wird an der Rückenlehne durch vertikale Einschnitte durchbrochen. Sowohl für den Stuhl, als auch für die Chaiselongue wird ein einziges Furnierstück verwendet, um die Struktur des Holzes ohne Übergänge fließen zu lassen und optisch den bestmöglichen Effekt zu erzielen. Auch der Rahmen folgt den weichen Formen der Sitzschale und ist an ihr mittels eines unsichtbaren Fixiersystems befestigt. Inizia la sua attività di designer a Monaco nel 1998, presso lo studio System Design. Dal 2000 al 2004 lavora come project manager e specialista di progetti illuminotecnici presso la iGuzzini Illuminazione. Nel 2004 apre un suo ufficio di design industriale. I suoi campi d’interesse vanno dal design di mobili ai complementi, agli apparecchi luminosi. Christian Hoisl laureatosi in industrial design presso l’università di Monaco, inizia la sua attività di designer presso l’ufficio Schlagheck & Schultes, dove rimane fino al 1992 come senior designer. Nel 1993 fonda, insieme a Martin Dettinger, lo studio System Design, collaborando con alcune tra le più prestigiose aziende tedesche nel campo dell’arredamento e delle cucine. Nel 1999 Hoisl apre il suo ufficio di design industriale a Monaco. ALESSANDRO ANDREUCCI AND CHRISTIAN HOISL After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering and then specialising in industrial design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design, Alessandro Andreucci started to work as designer for System Design in Munich in 1998. From 2000 to 2004, he worked as project manager and light engineer specialist for iGuzzini. In 2004, he opened his own industrial design studio. His fields of expertise range from the design of furniture to furnishing accessories and lighting fixtures. Christian Hoisl studied industrial design at Munich University and started his career as designer for Schlagheck & Schultes Design, where he worked until 1992 as senior designer. In 1993 he founded System Design with Martin Dettinger, and worked with leading German companies in the furniture and kitchen industry. In 1999, Hoisl opened his own industrial design studio in Munich.
